Employee Spotlight: Dan S., Field Operations Manager
This month’s Employee Spotlight features our Field Operations Manager, Dan S. As a BDSer for over two years, he enjoys zeroing in on opportunities and discovering solutions to address pain points for our clients, customers and our employees. His positive attitude and friendly personality make him an excellent Manager, and his drive to succeed makes him an invaluable member of his team. Outside of work, he loves spending time with his family, kayaking, hiking, and even woodworking!
Q: Tell us about your position.
A: I work closely with both our client and BDS employees to ensure operations are working smoothly in order to meet all expectations from the client, while improving the experience for customers and our employees.
Q: What does a typical day look like for you?
A: My typical day involves meeting with our client and local managers to discuss employee performance, metrics and opportunities that are being worked on throughout each of our markets.
Q: Tell us about your team.
A: My team is full of energetic and innovative individuals that continuously exceed expectations set for them by our client. They are always finding new ways to improve the day-to-day duties to be more effective, and to provide an awesome experience for customers.
Q: What is one way that you make sure your field teams are successful?
A: I try to provide transparency to my team so that they are always aware of what I am working on. I like to explain the reasoning behind any ask that I have for them, while also showing them.
Q: What is your favorite part about working for BDS?
A: The ability to work with fellow employees to build and develop each other to become better – not only in the positions we are currently in, but also in our careers.
