This month’s Employee Spotlight features a loyal BDSer for over 13 years, John H.! John is currently a Channel Lead on the Motorola program, where his main responsibility includes working directly with clients to support their sales effort throughout the Great Lakes area. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with his sons at home, watching movies, and visiting microbreweries! Read on to find out more about John and his life at BDS!

Q: Briefly tell me about your job.

A: I’m currently a Channel Lead on the Motorola program. I get to work directly with our client to support their sales efforts throughout the Great Lakes market.

Q: What is your favorite part about working for BDS?  

A: I love the flexible schedules and being able to use the latest technology.

Q: What is your favorite band? How long has this been your favorite? 

A: I’m a Parrot Head. I’ve listened to Jimmy Buffett since I was a fetus. My parents love him and I grew up listening to him. Fruitcakes is my favorite album of his.

Q: Where would you recommend going on vacation?  Why? 

A: I like going on cruises. There are plenty of activities to do on the ship and being able to see the islands is also fun.

Q: What is your favorite holiday?  Why? 

A: My wife and I love Halloween! It’s so much fun pretending to be someone else. We love making fun costumes for ourselves, the kids, and the pets.

Q: What is your favorite sport? What team? 

A: Hockey, specifically the Detroit Red Wings.

Q: If there was a movie produced about your life, who would play you, and why? 

A: I think Toby McGuire should play me. I used to get told that we look alike all the time.

Q: What is the funniest thing that happened to you?

A: Earlier this year, I was on the front page of the newspaper for eating 52 free cheeseburgers.

Q: How would your friends describe you?

A: They would say that I’m a caring, fun, family man. They might also tell you that I’m Batman.
