This month’s Employee Spotlight features Laurie K., a loyal BDSer for over four years. As a Field Operations Manager, Laurie manages an awesome team of Merchandising Specialists who service clients’ displays in retailers nationwide. Her positive attitude and deep dedication to her BDS team are, without a doubt, the reasons why she is such a strong leader in the field. Outside of work, Laurie loves spending time with her husband, Justin, and adorable 2-year-old daughter, Maya.

Q: What is your favorite part about working for BDS?
A: No question, the people. I have a feeling anyone working here might have the same answer. I have never worked for a company that feels like home as much as BDS does.

Q: What do you like to do with your spare time?
A: I have a toddler; I don’t know what spare time is anymore.

Q: If Mark Dean came to your house for dinner, what would you prepare for him?
A: I’ve been to parties at Mark’s house and I can’t top ANY of that – cooking is not in my particular set of skills either. So it would be out to the best, family owned tavern I could find! You in, Mark?

Q: What is your goal in life?
A: To leave the world a better place than I found it, to leave people’s lives better than when I found them, and to raise my daughter to do the same. Of course I want to be happy and successful, but I think that comes automatically when you follow the golden rule.
